I can’t believe it’s here…the time has officially come. Something I dreamt of doing on December 3rd 2009 is about to happen in just 4 days. WOW!
Of course, staying true to my nature I have thought of almost everything possible that could go wrong….such as:
3 or 4 years ago I accidently got in the wrong lane and drove through an Easy-Pass in PA. I didn’t know it was one. I got something in the mail once but I moved and I never got another thing about it and to be honest never really thought about till recently….so I thought about how maybe I’m wanted and I will get arrested as soon as I get to the hotel, and that’s why the hotel hasn’t charged my card or ran my card to hold the room, because they know I’m wanted and are planning to arrest me when I arrive to check in. And since it’s a weekend I won’t be able to run the race because I won’t be able to see a judge till Monday.
Or if that doesn’t happen, I’m sure the car will break down on our way down there and we’ll have to pay to get towed back so there goes our $$ for the trip and our car so we wont be able to go down.
Or I’m going to get hit by a car walking in Philly.
Or I’m going to get hit by a car while driving my car and die on impact.
Or maybe my heart will just stop while I’m running and I’ll die of a heart attack…hey, at least I’d still be running the race right?? HaHA!
I’m officially fucking nuts huh??
I’m sorry that all of my posts seem to be about running and the race lately. It has kind of taken over my life these past 2 weeks. To be honest, I’m looking forward to the race being over and putting that accomplishment in my bag!
When I get back my next goal will be getting TO goal at Weight Watchers!! :D I was down 1.4 at my weigh-in last Thursday so that puts me at a total of 87 lbs lost so far!! I’m only 5 lbs away people. Pretty exciting stuff!! I have a whole post working in my head about “goal” weight and what not, but I am going to save that because with everything else going on right now, I just can’t focus well enough to really write what I want.
I plan on taking a ton of pictures for the trip so I should have lots to share hopefully!!
For those of you who don’t already know, I had a HUGE NSV (non-scale victory) last week while looking for a dress. Well actually I went to Target looking for anything BUT a dress and then I spotted it….black, simple and elegant. Just what I was looking for! The place we are eating dinner to celebrate after the race is pretty fancy so I didn’t want anything too over the top. I tried on a size 10 and I loved it! But the more I examined it, the more I noticed it was kind of big…I wanted something body hugging. So for kittens and giggles I decided to try on a size 8 and guess what…..IT FIT!!!!!! It is GORGEOUS on. I also got some fucking KILLER high heels to wear with them. How I plan to walk in them after running a ½ marathon is beyond me but god damnit I am going to!!
Here is a picture of the dress & the shoes…the picture of the dress really doesn’t do it justice here. Those dressing rooms at Target suck! It’s not to top heavy looking. It’s nice and sleek.

I also wanted to share real quick some pictures of the dinner I made last night (very late last night! I didn’t end up eating till 8:30!). A co-worker gave me a bag of green chilies and I decided to use them in this mexican inspired dish I came up with:
1 box of Zatarans Dirty Rice Mix (3 pts for 1 cup)
1 whole store bought rotisserie chicken (I used around 4 oz of white meat. Was 3 pts)
¼ cup 2% reduced fat Mexican cheese (2 pts)
Some green chilies (0 pts)
2 tbsp fat free sour cream (0 pts)
Oh my lord it was DELICIOUS!! I thought maybe you guys would enjoy. I don’t think 8 pts is bad at all for this dinner and it was super filling!!
This will most likely be my last post before the ½ marathon. Tonight I have to focus on laundry and a few household chores. Tomorrow I am supposed to go to this Nike Women’s Diva Night at my local Fleet Feet. I signed up for it because I thought it would be nice to do before leaving and maybe I would meet some other female runners but I’m having second thoughts. A lot depends on how much I can get done tonight. Thursday night is my Weight Watcher meeting and I really want to stay for it since I couldn’t stay last week. I also have to pack that night since we leave Friday morning for Philadelphia. WHEW!! AAHHHHH!!
But before I go please let me say this…first and foremost THANK YOU to everyone for all of their support, inspiration and motivation these past months leading up to the race. I couldn’t feel this strong and ready without you guys!! I am excited to go have this experience and then be able to share it with all of you. Second, I am beyond excited to come back and work towards getting to my goal (I think I said that already...hmmm) and I know that I will get there will all of you guys cheering my along the way. And third, I am excited to start finding ways to build this blog up. I'm thinking I might do a little re-design after I get settled back in at home and I'm hoping to start posting on a more frequent basis after this whole whirlwind dies down.
So my lovelies...have a fabulous week if I dont get a chance to blog again before I leave for Philly. I will be thinking of all of you come Sunday morning!! :D
